2020 was personally challenging for many reasons but I'll always be grateful for the chaos, as it motivated me to take the chance and do something truly meaningful and exciting.
Having worked for and alongside marketing and design agencies for much of my career, I felt that it was time to shake things up a bit, particularly as clients don't have the budgets that they used to.
The agencies that I enjoyed working with the most were genuinely nice, collaborative people with aspirations to do great things creatively and that's what I'm hoping to achieve with The Marketing and Design Collective.
Over the last 6 months I've had the pleasure of meeting some truly amazing people. Not only are they great at what they do, but they're lovely people that I can't wait to meet in person for a drink or 2 when the Covid lockdown is over😀. The Collective is about building seamless collaborative teams of experts to support our clients in achieving their objectives and it's imperative that we bring on board the right people to achieve that.
As well as building a team of marketing, design and technical experts, I aspire for The Marketing and Design Collective to be so much more than 'just another marketing agency'. We will be actively supporting both our Collective members and clients' businesses from the ground up by sharing our support network of individuals, small businesses and organisations that can provide expert guidance in other challenging areas of business, from finance and operations through to business planning and coaching.
Even before launching, we've been lucky enough to work with some amazing clients and we're working on some exciting projects that I'm looking forward to sharing over the coming months.
As a start-up business our website isn't full of case studies but all of our clients can be assured that our Collective members have incredible portfolios, with many of them winning local and national awards for their excellence. A new business has to start somewhere but we fully understand that clients need the confidence in the team. Before a client commits to a project, we'll openly share examples of the work and testimonials that we've received for the allocated project team.
After months of our Collective members waiting in the wings, I'm very excited to officially declare The Marketing and Design Collective open for business.
I look forward to sharing in the successes of our clients and our Collective members over the coming months and years.
